ALTA Advocacy Summit 2026
Published on May 16, 2026
Women in Title showed up in a big way at the 2026 ALTA Advocacy Summit this week in Washington, D.C. Between our members, chapter leaders, board members, and friends of the organization, it felt like everywhere you turned, you ran into someone from the WiT community.
There’s always something special about Advocacy Summit; ur industry is really full of professionals willing to step up and advocate for its future. This year, especially, felt impactful, with record attendance and so many new faces joining the conversation.
One of our favorite moments of the week was seeing our members walking into meetings on the Hill wearing their purple WiT lanyards. It was such a simple thing, but honestly, a really proud moment for us. A few years ago, this community was just an idea, and now seeing those purple lanyards represented in important rooms and conversations across D.C. was pretty surreal.
We also had an incredible turnout at our K Street patio happy hour at Yard Bird. The space was packed with members and friends alike, and passersby could hear the conversations and laughter as they walked by. Huge thank you to Rexera and BankUnited for sponsoring the evening and helping us create a place for everyone to gather outside the conference schedule.
We also showed up for TIPAC at an event at Flight Club Washington, D.C.. Let’s just say there may have been some heated, yet friendly, competition between chapter chairs. There were a lot of laughs and good times spent together, all to benefit the important cause of TIPAC, the Title Industry Political Action Committee.
We left DC feeling grateful for (y)our community and for the chance to advocate for our industry in a very real and meaningful way.
Advocacy matters, relationships matter, and getting to experience both together this week was really something special.
